Information, Sciences and Technology (IST) Building

This project involved the construction of two (2) multi-story buildings that span Business Route 322 with a pedestrian walkway attaching the eastern and western portion of the building. The project included heavy axial and uplift loads, greater than 200 kips, and large overturning moments. CMT recommended the use of minipile foundations at the heavy column locations on the western portion and a program of overexcavation and backfilling with flowable fill on the eastern portion.
